Colin Cook

Colin was working in biotech before it was cool. Now that it is cool, he’s one of the few who has the experience and savvy to make it look easy.

Colin entered the field of management consulting after a 9-year career in advertising, during which time he served clients such as Levi Strauss, ATT, Blue Shield, and Virgin Megastore. As an executive producer at Foote Cone Belding San Francisco and founding partner of Swirl Advertising, he witnessed firsthand that while advertising can generate interest and motivate initial trial, it is operational excellence that creates sustained customer loyalty and, ultimately, builds brand equity. He formed Shepard Associates in 2001 to help life science companies increase aligning processes, workforce skills, and technology.
